Tabernacle Orchestra

Wednesday we had the opportunity to go the Tabernacle and listen to the Orchestra at Temple Square play. It was our first time in the Tabernacle since the remodeling. Colby was really appreciative of the extra leg room that they have added. The building looked beautiful and the concert was amazing. The concert was dedicated to President Gordan B. Hinckley and the orchestra opened the concert by playing one of his favorite songs, Air from Suite No. 3 by J.S. Bach. The orchestra ended with Scheherazade: Symphonic Suite by Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov. An amazing piece based on the Arabian One Thousand and One Nights.

Oh how sad I am to have missed that!! It sounds like it was a good time.

It was fun; and Julie learned Jessica's secret that you can hear orchestras better with your eyes closed...
